Willunga Shiraz

Angove Family Winemakers Willunga Shiraz is handpicked from a site planted in 1958 just north of the Willunga township in McLaren Vale.

The fruit is sorted, gently destemmed and crushed. It ferments in small open fermenters with natural yeasts and minimal additions. Careful hand plunging and some foot stomping coax colour and flavour from the skins.

Once sugar dryness is reached, the wine is basket pressed and racked to French oak puncheons to mature for nine months.

Inky crimson purple, Angove Family Winemakers Willunga Shiraz has intense dark fruit flavours against a backbone of soft tannins. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
